Convenience is one of the hallmarks of Lazada. And this is manifested in a number of
ways. One is through the wide variety of product selection. And the other is
through the flexibility in payment methods. For this review, I will be paying
particular attention to the latter.
This site has been dubbed as the Philippines’ online shopping mall. And
from what I understand, this moniker was given to it less than a year after the
commencement of its operation in the country. This then highly speaks of the
quality, variety and convenience that this site brings.
As a matter of fact, I believe the Lazada online mall provides convenience
in the most number of aspects as compared to other internet shopping sites. And
as promised earlier, let me expound on the payment terms aspect.
Flexibility in payment
The flexibility in payment provided by this
site is made possible through the several payment methods available. But for
this article, let me focus on the payment term which was added just recently.
BDO Installments
This is the newest offer from the Lazada online mall in terms of payment
method. Here, I can pay for the items I ordered via my BDO credit cards. What’s
even better is that I can pay in installments!
Here, I have the option to spread my
payment to 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 18 months or even up to 24 months or
2 years. The fact is, I have never seen anything like this. Although other
internet shopping sites provide the option of paying via credit card, none of
those I have encountered give the installment offer.
This payment method is then beneficial for
me in a number of ways. For one, it lets me buy more items with my credit card.
The usual case with credit card payment is that the whole amount is deducted
from my credits. Hence, I reach my credit limit faster, leaving me with less
credits to make another purchase.
But that is not true with this site. Since
I can pay via installment, less credits will be deducted from me. That will be
dependent on the terms I choose (3, 6, 12, 18, 24 months). But whatever I end
up with, I will be left with much more credits than I can use to make other
purchases. This is especially helpful when I have a lot of things to buy. This
happens during special occasions or opening of school.
Lastly, this payment method from the Lazada online mall helps me save up and
make an urgent purchase. This is especially true when I need to buy something
expensive. I remember there was this instance in the past when I needed to buy
something very costly. But since I did not have enough cash or credits during
that time, I missed the opportunity.
But with the installments option, I can
already buy an expensive item since I can save up and spread the payment to a
couple of months or even years. I can just give partial payments within my
credit limit and just wait for the renewal of my credits to give another
partial payment.

how does it work's? is it through cash payment? someone will collect the payment? item will be provided on the first payment? sorry first time to do an installment here in Lazada. I want to buy something expensive.
BurahinHi. We used BDO Installments to purchase and item and the FULL amount was taken out of the card. Doesn't this defeat the purpose of using installments???
TumugonBurahinThe whole amount will be taken out of your credit limit but it will float until you fully paid the item. I.e php3300 including the interest for 3 months to pay. You will be billed 1100 monthly. once you settled the payment, saka pa lang yun babalik sa credit limit mo. Pero floating pa din yung maiiwan na 2200.
