Online mall's creditability always matters to customers if ever they will consider online shopping. It's a challenge for customers to accept online shopping since it's no secret that online frauds and scams can happen in online. Not having a credit card makes online shopping more difficult for online customers. Moreover, it makes first time online shopping prospects more doubtful in proceed with their online shopping. Online stores should ensure transactions such as credit card that they are secured for transactions. These are the reasons that online customers usually weigh in before deciding if they will shop online. The perception in online shopping drastically changed when website like Lazada arrived in the country last year.

Upon Lazada's arrival in the country, they brought in an Ecommerce solution in the local online market. There are two main issues that the local Ecommerce was facing which both were covered by their payment method solution. The Philippines Online Shopping Mall calls it Cash on Delivery or simply C.O.D. It makes customers feel that they are secured when shopping on their website. No need for risking too much from the customer's end and will allow them to try their service easily since they won't need to submit their credit card details. How can this help their shopping more conveniently? The local online consumers can visit their website and check their huge selections. It doesn't matter if customers can’t pay right away once they are set on what they want to buy since they can actually pay later. If customers happen to select Cash on Delivery as their preferred payment method, they won't be required to pay upfront before their orders are processed for delivery.

Customers can receive their orders between two to five days after completing the delivery details; some even encountered same day delivery. It is only when local customers received their order as it is handed over to them upon delivery that they are required to pay in cash. This may also be free delivery as long customer exceeds the one thousand pesos delivery value. This allow customers to have assurance that they are safe since they get to keep their money up until it is delivered to them. Actually, it is rare to see that an online customer has the advantage over online stores.
