Lazada Philippines: Some changed habits are better

Do we ever consider changing our habits when it comes to shopping? Does online shopping justify our needs in our shopping needs over traditional shopping? Most of us would have avoided online shopping if this was asked a few years ago. Online malls should have the credibility to back them in order for customers to even consider them. It's no secret that most of us are scared to shop online since a lot of online scams and frauds happen in online occasionally. Credit cards are not actually popular in the country since only a few of them have it making online shopping even more challenging. As a customer, it's pretty easy to understand on why customers won't easily budge in shopping online. Customers usually measure if an online store has a sufficient secured line for credit card transaction. These are the issues that online customers consider before going with online shopping.

Actually, online shopping changed after Lazada arrived in the country a couple of years ago. After they arrived in the country, they already have a solution to our Ecommerce woes in the country. An alternative payment method was introduced to solve most of the Ecommerce issues in the Philippines. Cash on Delivery was the alternative payment method that they were banking on to help them penetrate the local online market. Customers will feel secured with this kind of payment setup with them. Since usual payment methods on typical online stores such as credit card payment is not required, customers can try shopping on their website without risking their money. How can customers work on this setup? Local online consumers can easily check their huge selections on their website.

Once the local online customers are set on which items they want, they can order it from their website and not pay the Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall right away. Once the customer selects the “Cash on Delivery” as the form of payment method, the website only asks only a couple of details from them which is the name of the recipient of the order and the preferred shipping address. Customers can relax after they have provided their shipment details and wait for its arrival, which usually takes two to five days but sometimes earlier. Customers are only required to pay in cash once their order package is handed over to them in real time.

Customers can avail free delivery if their orders go beyond one thousand pesos. It's good to know for customers that they get to hold their money up until their orders arrived at their doorstep. It's actually surprising to see that an online store will agree to have this kind of setup with their customers. Only a few or none of the existing local online malls offers the same type of payment setup. Isn’t a good bargain regardless if we are online shopping enthusiast or not if we are allowed to keep our money until we get the items we bought online? This is what they are telling to their customers. It’s up to us, on whether we’ll take advantage of it or not.
