Everybody
is getting fond of online shopping for the past few years. Unlike the past
attempts of Ecommerce in the country where they failed horribly, it is perfect
timing for their arrival in the country with the current high-level economy
status of the country. They actually started slow to make an impact to the
local online users as most of them didn’t think of its security very highly.
But beyond this point, can the local customers get the same service they get
from traditional malls over online malls? It will probably unacceptable to most
consumers to consider online shopping if they were given this option. It will
always matter to customers that online mall have a good credibility if ever
they will try online shopping. Actually, a lot of us are not at ease when it
comes to online shopping since we are all aware of online scams and frauds.
Another
thing to consider on why online shopping is hard for us is that most of us
don't have credit cards. It cannot be helped that a lot of the first time
shoppers really think twice before proceeding in online shopping. Actually,
there are certain measurements that customers conduct like if the online stores
have a safe and secured line for credit card transactions. A lot of these are
highly considered first by online customers before proceeding to any online
malls. Everything changed once Lazada's presence was felt here in the local
online market last year.
The
Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall arrived in the country with a solution to
solve the Ecommerce issues in the Philippines. This solution is an alternative
payment method that solved the major Ecommerce woes in the Philippines. It is
what they called Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. This will allow customers to feel
secured when shopping on their website. The local online customers can actually
try their service out since they won't risk too much on their end like giving
away their credit card details and paying in advance. So how does this work with
online customers? Online customers can visit their website and check out their
huge selection of items. Customers who already know what to buy on the website
won't need to pay it right away.
No
need for customers to pay upfront since they can just leave their delivery
details and have it processed for delivery if they selected Cash on Delivery as
their payment method. Customers can relax once they have given their delivery
details and wait for it to arrive between two to five days. Upon delivery and as
order are handed over to local online customer, that's the only time they are
required to pay cash in real time. Delivery fees will be free as long as the
order values of customers are above one thousand pesos. It's very assuring for
customers that they can keep their money up until their orders arrived at their
home. This setup is really unconventional as online stores usually have the
upper hand between online deals.
