Lazada: A potential landslide win in online shopping

Paying online is usually a problem m for most people in the Philippines. It's hard to give away credit card details and personal information online just to pay for something you bought. Online transactions are complicated to countries who are still not familiar with it. There's a chance that users who are new to online payment may struggle if they don't do it properly. It's delicate to make a mistake since it may lead to overcharging on your bill. The process for petition on mistaken billing usually takes longer when it comes to online. It's very easy. You pay in real time for what you bought online. But now that we are in the new era, other online options showed up.  One example is the option to shop online. People will no longer need to waste their energy and time just to shop. If you want to shop online, you'll only need Internet access and an Internet capable device. To see what online mall's have to offer, you can just visit their website. It's very different here in the Philippines. Just a few years ago, online shopping was never considered in the country. Conventional online payment was hard since most of us are not credit card owners.

As a result, Ecommerce grew slower than compared to other industries. It was really tough for Ecommerce to penetrate the local online market. Website like Lazada Philippines clearly helped Ecommerce. They gave online shopping as a clearer option to local online community. Shopping online via Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. availability of the Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall, allowed non-credit card owners to shop online as well. Customers who select Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. can just leave their shipment address and customer name. They only require customers to pay only once orders are delivered at the provided shipment address. They were one of the first online malls to introduce an alternative payment method called Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. in the country online. Ever since Cash on Delivery was offered online as well, it helped the Ecommerce industry. This made us understand that online shopping can make our shopping much easier.

After their arrival, other online malls where launched in the country slowly. It definitely opened our options in shopping and gives us more in control on how we want to spend our time. Since it can now be done online, wherever we are or whenever we want, we are assured that we can shop anytime at our discretion. This is an ultimate game changing approach in the consumer market’s point of view. Local offline businesses such as traditional malls are even putting up their own website just to make sure that they can still be available to their previous customers who already turned to online. In my own belief, there will come a time that the ratio in between offline and online shopping will be a landslide in favor of online shopping at the current rate we are embarking on.
