Lazada: Brand matters in Ecommerce

New websites that have no brand recognition offline usually struggles to get recognition from online users. To have just brand name in the online platform won't be enough, it also need good support in customer service. Usually, company names that have huge brand name have less room to make an error online. A silly exposure of mistake in online can have their brand ruined. To Ecommerce websites that is a new rising industry in the country, it is very different for them in branding since they are all new to the local online community. One of the online malls to take the most risk when they arrived in the country is Lazada.

Why is it they went that far of a risk? Filipinos are still learning online shopping at the time of their arrival. It's true that we have a lot of online users, but only minority of them will try online shopping. Obviously, it helped them build their brand on a much quicker way than their competition. Online shopping in the country was still on the verge to rise but during that time some Filipinos were still avoiding it and missing a lot of opportunities. Let's at least admit that sooner than later online shopping will be part of our lifestyle.

With the rate we are going through in the technology transition, we will soon incorporate high technology devices as part of our necessity. Accompanying them with high Internet speed accelerates our online lifestyle transition. This combination allows us to conduct our usual offline activities in online. Lazada is actually given the chance to expand its reach with the aggressive increase of online users in the country. They only intend to have all of their efforts in serving their customers great online shopping experience. In order for them to stand out among the other competition, they also offered other unconventional approach to better serve their customers.

They offer Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. besides the usual credit card online payment to their customers. Besides the payment method options offered by them, they are even willing to waive delivery fee for free depending on the value. Depending on the delivery address, some shipment fee may vary. Delivery fees will be free of charged as long as orders go beyond one thousand pesos. The Philippines’ Online Shopping Mall actually provides 1-2 years of manufacturer's warranty, similar to what traditional malls offer to the consumers. Customers will still get free returns for customers who will receive defective products or items. It just shows that they aim to provide the best quality service to their customers. As a matter of fact, they tirelessly still look for way to further improve their overall service to their customers. For instance, they recently offered credit card installment payment method for BDO credit cardholders, which is first for an online store to offer in the country. Usually, it was only offered offline by traditional malls. Yet, they surprised us again with this.
