Lazada: A rising community in Ecommerce

We are living on a modern digital era. A lot of the people nowadays are somewhat “techie” on their lifestyle. We all are hooked in technology and spend most of our time connected online. It eventually helped the penetration of the Ecommerce industry, finally! It took a while for this online industry to convince the local online users that they can be relied on and treated a great alternative solution. Example of a rising industry that stands out in Ecommerce are online malls. They quickly changed the perception of the local online users that they are good option for addressing their shopping needs. But we all know we have this question in our mind: can online shopping be a true alternative for shopping on traditional malls? If this was a question asked a few years ago then I'm pretty sure that everyone in local community will definitely say no.

Online malls should have the credibility to back them in order for customers to even consider them. There's always a tendency that online users have their guard up in online shopping since scams usually happens online. It's even harder for most consumers to shop online since they don't have any credit cards. It cannot be helped that a lot of the first time shoppers really think twice before proceeding in online shopping. Customers usually measure if an online store has a sufficient secured line for credit card transaction. These are the issues that online customers consider before going with online shopping. Actually, online shopping changed after Lazada arrived in the country a couple of years ago.

Once they arrived in the country, they brought with them a solution that will solve the local Ecommerce issues in the country. They introduced an alternative payment method that will solve both of the major Ecommerce woes in the country. It is what they called Cash on Delivery or C.O.D. What this payment method does is that it removes the worry of online customers. Customers can actually test their service without giving too much requirement from their end like filling up or credit card details. How will customers be able to use this easily for them? They can select from the huge selection of their website. Customer can actually pay later and doesn't need to pay right away once they are set on what they want to buy.

If customers happen to select Cash on Delivery as their preferred payment method, they won't be required to pay upfront before their orders are processed for delivery. Once customers provide their delivery details, they can now just relax and wait for their orders to arrive at their home. As order packages are handed over to customers, that’s the only time they will need to pay for their orders via cash payment. As long as it exceeds one thousand pesos, they will cover delivery fee. This kind of setup enables customers to be at ease since they will only be liable to pay only after the customer receives orders. It's actually surprising to see that an online store will agree to have this kind of setup with their customers.
