LazadaPH: Change of Ecommerce pace over time

We are lucky to have an option in online shopping which is now a rising trend in the Philippines We can think about how long online shopping was never considered an option for local shoppers in the Philippines. There are a lot of reasons on why online shopping took a while to roll out in the country. The local community doesn’t have the privilege to pay online since majority of the locals are not credit card holders. Therefore, paying online didn't loo too good for the local consumers. Unlike nowadays where online malls are everywhere, there were only few of them then. It's only logical for any business not to invest on a market share that is minimal. There is also the fact we huge rate of online frauds and scams that is commonly happening everyday. Online shopping was always like this before in the Philippines. The online industry was really in a drought. All of these changed in a snap last year.

It was the year Ecommerce ventures like Lazada Online Shop was launched across South East Asia. We are thankful that Rocket Internet chose our country when they decided to launch one of their ventures across South East Asia. They are widely known for cloning successful online businesses and launches it ony countries where the service of the said online business is not yet available. They still helped the local Ecommerce industry to create some noise. They may not be the only reason why Ecommerce started to grow in Asia. Personally, I think they still made the difference for the emergence of Ecommerce. What really amazes me about Lazada is their uncanny ability to make things work out of nothing. The odds were really against them and many were expecting for them to fail when they started Lazada across South East Asia Moreover, most of the skeptics were just waiting for their failure to happen, little do they know Rocket Internet came in prepared. They offered unconventional payment that truly changed the local online shopping landscape by offering a payment solution tailored to address online payment limitations in Asia.

They allowed their customers to order anything from their website and have them pay only after their orders are delivered at their very homes. For the first time they offered Cash on Delivery or simply known as C.O.D. On the other hand, it is already used by other industries. This was the first time this payment method was offered online. The risk was too high from a business standpoint, which is not hard to realize when you come to think of it. It was a bold move indeed but it is the fastest way for them to get through the Ecommerce market. It just shows that Lazada is dedicated in making sure the their customers will have the best online shopping experience ever. On top of all these efforts that Lazada is exerting just to make sure that their customers can trust them, they offer free delivery availability just as long as your orders are beyond the one thousand mark. They are just dedicated in making sure their customers are served at the highest level.
